Members of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Ventures Board led by its Chairman, Mr. Abiodun Amokomowo, the MD/CEO, Ibile Holdings Ltd paid a courtesy call on the University of Lagos Management on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 to deliver its scorecard since its inauguration in 2021.

The Board comprising Mr. Amokomowo, Dr. Olanike Buraimoh of the Department of Microbiology; Mrs. Olabisi Osifeso; Prof. Khalid Adekoya of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics; Mr. Agbi Simon B and Mr. Morufu Gbadamosi of Research Management Office were received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services), Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Lucian Chukwu and SPGS Director, Mrs. Yetunde Ogunlewe who ably represented the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde.

The Chairman thanked Management for the renewal of the Board’s appointment for the next two years. He gave a brief rundown of the activities of UNILAG Ventures since the Board’s inauguration; achievements such as paying off some of the Ventures’ loans; its challenges in the area of inadequate water supply and electricity load shedding; needs and deliverables.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS applauded the Board for its ingenuity, creativity and stellar performance in reviving UNILAG Ventures. She assured the Board of the University’s continued support and that their challenges and needs would be addressed.
