An Associate Professor at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Dr. Lawrence Opeyemi Osoba has been nominated as one of the top three successful applicants for the 2023/2024 Erasmus KA171+ Staff Exchange Program with Haliç University, Istanbul, Turkey.

He was nominated out of nine (9) applicants from Nigeria, Bangladesh and Ukraine after satisfying several metrics in the ranking system calculated by the Erasmus Grades.

This opportunity was made possible through the partnership between the University of Lagos, Nigeria and Haliç University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Dr. Osoba is the first UNILAG staff nominated for this exchange program scheduled for the Fall Semester in the 2023/2024 Academic Year at Haliç University.

He is the immediate past Sub-Dean, Faculty of Engineering, UNILAG. He has over twenty two (22) years cumulative experience in foundry practice and academia, and has published several articles in international and national journals.

The Erasmus KA171+ staff exchange program is a project coordinated by Haliç University. The UNILAG-Haliç partnership involves a Memorandum of Understanding that fosters research collaboration, academic development, staff/student exchange, training/internship, joint academic programming/curriculum development, academic exchange, joint conference, and publications exchange, among others.
