Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine (CMUL), University of Lagos, (UNILAG) on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 rounded off its 18th Annual Scientific Conference & Gathering at the Old Great Hall, CMUL, Idi-Araba, Lagos.

The Conference with the theme: “The Impact of Collaboration on Clinical Research” featured a guest lecture delivered by Professor of Surgery, University of Birmingham, England, United Kingdom, Dion Morton; a symposium on the subtheme: “Local Experiences in Genomic Studies”; Scientific Sessions consisting of several parallel sessions & poster presentations and an Exhibition. It also featured an awards ceremony which provided a platform for the Faculty to recognise the immense contributions, unwavering commitment, selfless service and sacrifice of several individuals to the Faculty and University.

The 18th Annual Conference and Gathering commenced on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos. The ceremony featured a special lecture titled “A sick Eye in the Body: Multidisciplinary Team as a Research Tool” delivered by Professor of Ophthalmology, CMUL and Consultant Ophthalmologist/Head of Glaucoma Service, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Professor Adeola Onakoya (see https://unilag.edu.ng/?p=24509).
