The balloting exercise for allocation of hostel accommodation (bed spaces) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) will commence on Monday, October 23, 20023. The schedule for the exercise is as follows:

  1. All final year students – Monday, October 23, 2023.
  2. 300 level students (for 4 & 5 years programmes) and 400 level students (for 5 years programmes) – Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
  3. All 200 level students – Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
  4. All freshmen (100 level students) – TO BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE.

Kindly note that you can only participate in the balloting exercise if you have registered for the session/semester.

Successful candidates are no longer required to come with their mattresses.

Key points to note if you’re interested in balloting for hostel accommodation are:

  1. Balloting will commence by 9:00 a.m. in the morning for the scheduled days.
  2. Once you are allocated a bed space, a notification will be sent to your email address, so check your email from time to time.
  3. The allocated bed space must be paid for within a week, otherwise, it will be revoked and reallocated.
  4. It is an offense to sell your bed space to another student (or anyone) or squat another student (or anyone) be it for economic gains or otherwise. Be informed that this is an offense punishable by at least two (2) semesters rustication.
  5. Check your email for further details and information.
